Welcome to Allergy and Asthma Specialists, serving Durango, Colorado, and the Four Corners region with board-certified allergy, asthma, and immunology care since 1995.
Holiday Closures:
We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28th, and will reopen at 9 am on Tuesday, December 3rd.
For Christmas, we will be closed December 20th, 2024 through January 1st, 2025. We will reopen at 9 am on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2025.
Information for Shot Clinic Patients:
Allergy shot patients will get an email if the shot clinic is closed. You can always call ahead to check when the weather is bad
We are giving allergy shots through the outside window in the back of our office. Patients can wait 20 minutes after the shot in the courtyard, in the front waiting room, or in their vehicles outside by the back door. Check this website and your email for updates. We recognize that allergy treatment requires ongoing visits, and we will do our best to continue treatment for you as follows:
Step 1 - Login to your browser on your phone (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and type in MobileCheckIn.net in the browser bar or search. (Make sure you use “.net”, that your location services are on, and your phone allows location access for the browser you use.) If you need Internet access, go to your phone’s Settings, Wi-Fi, DocCooke-Guest and put in our password (call the office if you need it).
Step 2 - Our office name and address will pop up. Tap on Allergy & Asthma Specialists. Information is encrypted and HIPAA compliant.
Step 3 - Enter the required fields. Skip reason for visit and subreason--this is for staff. Then tap “Check in.”
You will receive a Confirmation Message on from the program that says “Thank you! We will text you when we are ready for you.” Wait times could be a little longer as multiple patients can check in at the same time. Please do not call unless you need to leave prior to receiving your shot, or you haven’t received the Confirmation Message. Multiple phone calls will delay everyone’s shots. Busiest times tend to be Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon.
You will receive a Text Message to your phone number saying “We are ready for you now. Please come to our back door marked 104 Private.” Immediately come to our back entrance (the one with the chair next to it) on the South side of the building facing East Park Ave. Please do not come to that entrance until you receive the Text Message that we are ready for you.
Please Note:
We are no longer using the App. Please delete it and use the instructions listed above to check in for your shot.
You must be close to our office to use the program. Any parking spot around our building is fine. Park, and then follow the above steps. (Make sure Location is turned on.)
The phone number must be the cell phone you’ll have with you for the shot (this includes anyone else bringing the patient—a child’s information must include the number of the person bringing the child); this is the number to which the program will send messages. Each person getting shots within a family needs to log in separately
Someone will be inside giving shots through the window while you are seated outside.
Please return to your vehicle for your required 20 minute wait time. Call the Shot Clinic phone if you are having a reaction.
We’re open by phone or email and welcome any thoughts. Meanwhile, we want to continue your allergy care as best, and as safely, as we can.
